Overview

Microsoft 365 Copilot embeds AI directly into Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, and Teams, with access to your organisation's files and mail through Microsoft Graph. It drafts from documents you cannot remember the name of, summarises the meeting you missed, and analyses a spreadsheet without you extracting the data first.

For organisations already standardised on Microsoft 365 it removes the copy-paste step that makes standalone assistants tiring. The counterweight is cost: at thirty dollars per user per month on top of existing licences, rollouts need a real adoption plan to justify the spend.

Why We Ranked It

What earned Microsoft 365 Copilot the #3 position in Productivity.

  1. Operates inside the Office applications rather than alongside them.

  2. Graph access grounds answers in your organisation's own documents and mail.

  3. Teams meeting recaps and action items are consistently useful.

  4. Enterprise compliance boundary satisfies most corporate requirements.

  5. Copilot Studio allows custom agents over internal data.
